Designation: Openings for General Ledger with Cognizant, Hyderabad Job Description: Responsibilities of the analyst will include: Review of the regional overnight batch and coordination of any feed issues that have led to error or suspense items or reconciliation issues between GGL applications. Maintenance of the ledger's static data (SAP), including the Chart of Accounts, centres, document set-up, month-end closing, allocations and reporting structures; Control over daily and monthly GL processes, e.g. FX revaluation and restatement, dividending, funding Reporting on the integrity of static and transaction data from the trading systems throughout the general ledger; Front-to-back reconciliations through the general ledger  Investigating issues to assist users and technical teams, propose a solution and see through to implementation; Involvement on mini-projects to close down year-end, prepare Corporate annual reporting structures etc  Provide assistance to IT projects / implementation teams, e.g. RACE, Migration of FX Revaluation etc. Exp 2-5 Yrs Flexible to work in shifts Desired Profile : The GGL Control Group is a global team which supports the control, reconciliation and maintenance of the Global General Ledger environment. The GGL environment is complex and is represented by a suite of integrated applications that take data in from risk management and settlement systems and performs complex business transformation processes in order to produce financial information suitable for internal and external reporting purposes. This is a technical role where the GGL Control Group acts as the interface between the Finance user community and IT. The GGL Control Group is run on a regional basis but cross regional coverage is provided where required. The roles at the ISC are being established to primarily support the Euro and APAC regions. Significant daily interaction with onshore Finance staff will be required and so excellent interpersonal skills are a pre �requisite together with a real interest in IT applications, their functionality and how they are integrated with other applications.
